Another cool recent perk from Microsoft is the free Windows Live Writer. A very simple walk-through setup allows you to publish to a blog right from your desktop.
It especially is great for adding photos. Wordpress has not been the easiest on photo options when they are added. Windows Live Writer gives many additional options for adding effects and customizations to pictures as demonstrated below. One can now change the color scheme, add rounded corners, add drop shadows, add reflections, tilt the picture and so much more. FYI – This is not a self portrait! =)
Give it a try today! If you run into a snag with setting it up and connecting it to your blog, feel free to drop me a line and I will do what I can to help.

Part of my business takes me into people’s homes to setup or repair computer systems. I have now done half a dozen install and setups of the operating system and it is amazingly user-friendly and easy to do. I am amazed each time I need to setup a new peice of hardware, etc. It is much more intuitive and faster than both XP and Vista at getting you up and running. I would recomend an upgrade to anyone who is wanting to get more out of their system and their time.
If you are in need of a way to edit your digital images but don’t have access to high end programs like Adobe Photoshop, check out the site www.aviary.com.
